Happy Sunday! Want to Know Why I am SO Happy Today???

Hey there! I want Sundays here at Homemaker in Heels to start being a joyful, encouraging day! A day to reflect on the wonderful Lord we serve and all that He has given to us. A few days ago, I re-pinned one of my favorite scriptures on Pinterest, Jeremiah 29:11. I received a couple of comments thanking me and saying that was exactly what they needed to hear at that moment. To tell you the truth, when I saw that scripture, the same was true for me.
Then I started thinking about all of the negativity I have noticed lately... on the feed of my personal Facebook page, Twitter... tv... everywhere. It used to really bother me. I have always been such an optimistic person and tried to see the bright side of any situation. I would try to avoid those who might bring me down with their negative attitudes. But you know what? Maybe I was looking at this all wrong. The more I think about it, in reality, so much of this I was seeing was actually the many people who are hurting just reaching out for someone to care... just someone to turn to. Maybe they just want someone to tell them that things WILL get better. But you know, lately, it seems that people just ignore those posts. Not always, but more often than not. I am guilty of this myself, sometimes. It would take just a few seconds for me to say "I'll be praying for you."... Maybe I could even tell them about/ remind them of this wonderful scripture.
We often get so caught up in the problems we face in life that we forget to turn to the One who has all the answers... who is ALWAYS there when we need a friend to turn to.. who loves us NO MATTER WHAT! Maybe YOU are that person today who just feels like everyone around you is too busy and caught up in their own lives to reach out and be a friend to you... I think that applies to all of us at some point in time or another. Well, here is the scripture that encouraged me this week and I hope and pray it will do this same for you.

Isn't is comforting to know that no matter what troubles you may be facing, financial, relationships, illness, etc, that GOD has the ultimate plan for our lives and He loves us and wants us to prosper! No matter what you may be going through or how bad the situation may seem, God's grace is sufficient!

But he said to me, "My grace it sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness."
                                            2 Corinthians 12: 9

Just remember today that no matter who turns against you, no matter what obstacles you may face, no matter what, you can turn to God. God's incredible grace is there to pick you up, to heal you, to strengthen you, to carry your burdens and sorrows, to provide for all of your needs...

I hope you have a wonderful, blessed day! As you begin this new week, I hope you will remember these scriptures! Don't let things that are going on in your life get you down. God has plans to give each and every one of us hope and a future. We just have to turn to Him. I know because He tells us so  above in Jeremiah 29:11. Happy Sunday, sweet friends!!! :)
