Guest Post: Miranda from Just Drink a Coke & Her Fabulous Flower Bouquet Tutorial!

Today I am so excited introduce Miranda from Just Drink a Coke! She has so many amazing projects on her blog and she is such a sweetheart! I just know you will love it as much as I do! Here's Miranda:

Hi!  I'm Miranda from Just Drink a Coke. and I'm so excited to be here with you today.  Let me begin by telling you a little about who I am.  I'm a stay-at-home mom and have been married to my sweetheart for almost nine years.  Together, we have three wonderful children who make our lives amazing and crazy, all at once!
Whenever I have a spare moment, I absolutely love to craft and, of course, drink a Coke!

So, let's get on to the crafting.  It's what we're all here for, right?  Plus, I've got a really cute and easy craft that you'll be sure to enjoy!  Take a look at these paper flowers.  Are they not the cutest thing ever?  I gave my mom a bouquet of them for Mother's Day.  Plus, the best part about them is that they'll never wilt.  Yay!
Start out by cutting some circles of different sizes and colors and cut a spiral into each, leaving a little circular tab in the very center.  They don't have to be perfect.  Cut a length of wire for each, and bend the top tip to form a right angle.  Also, cut some leaf shapes.  Oh, and don't forget to get the glue gun going.

Wind each circle into a rose shape around your finger by starting at the outside of the spiral and working your way to the circular tab.  Place some glue on the tab and press your rose into the glue.  You can see a felt flower tutorial that I made using the same technique on my blog.

Glue your angled piece of wire to one of your leaf shapes that you already cut out.  You could fold your leaf a little to give it a little depth.

Now glue that to the back of your flower with your wire sticking up.

Isn't the finished product too cute?

You could even make a two-toned flower.  Just use two different-sized spiral circles.  Finish the larger rose and leave the smaller loose, and cut the tab off of it.

Now wind the two together by opening up the smaller spiral and tucking it into the larger one.  Secure it with a little glue.

I added two leaves to back of this one because it was a little larger than the others.

I think you'll be so happy with your new flowers!  Now go have yourself a Coke, and, when you're done, put your flowers into the Coke bottle.  It makes the perfect vase!

Thanks for having me here.  Stop by sometime. You never know what we'll be talking about, from sewing to sports.  It's always fun at Just Drink a Coke.

How easy was that?! They look so fun and pretty! What a great tutorial!  I had no idea that the paper flowers were so easy to make! Thanks so much for stopping by, Miranda! I hope you all will comment and let her know how much we appreciate her visit! Please go follow her fun blog, so you can see her other fabulous posts and tutorials! :)  Have a great day, my friends! :)
